The banana is an edible fruit – botanically a berry – produced by several kinds of large herbaceous flowering plants in the genus Musa.
A national flag is a flag that symbolizes a country. The flag is flown by the government, but usually can also be flown by citizens of the country.
Banana republic describes a politically unstable country with an economy dependent upon the exportation of a limited-resource product.
Typically, the banana republic has a large, poor working class and a ruling-class plutocracy composed of the business, political and military elites of that society.
In economics, a banana republic is a country with an economy of state capitalism operated as a private commercial enterprise for the exclusive profit of the ruling class.
